SANOII + SIX

We're so excited to announce that not only will our store be selling amazing vintage wear, but we will also house some of Australia's finest up & coming designers. The online boutique will launch with some exclusive pieces from the wonderful and talented label, Sanoii + Six

Sanoii + Six is the love child of two crazy ladies, Vienna & Sam. Not subscribing to any genre the Sanoii + Six lasses dabble in pleasantries that include lovely bathers and delightful clothing pieces, with crazy designs and fabrics to boot. Made in Australia by two peculiar sets of hands, each piece is crafted with love and kookiness. All styles are made in very limited numbers making each piece truly one of a kind and something to be treasured.

Meeting this wonderful pair, and planning our collaboration has been inspirational and so much fun. A match made in heaven! We look forward to working with them, and can't wait to introduce their amazing Summer range to you all. They are currently designing & putting together their Winter range, without giving anything away, we know you are going to love it!

LOOKBOOK

I've been anxiously awaiting to reveal our very first lookbook to you all, so much so that after the massively long day in the heat of shooting it, exhausted and sleep deprived, I still rushed home to spend the whole evening untill the wee hours of the morning sorting & editing the photos, because I just could not wait untill the next morning!

It's been a while since I've used my camera for an artisitic endeavour such as this, and I must say I was a little nervous that morning, worrying that I would be a bit fumbly and forgetful, but the day couldn't have been more perfect. And has inspired me to make much more of a concious effort this year to remember to take my camera when leaving the house, and plan more fashion shoots for the store & blog.

So here is our Autumn lookbook. We chose to do the photoshoot at a place called Old Sydney Town. I'm sure anyone who has grown up on the Central Coast and perhaps many of you from Sydney will have vague memories of visiting this theme park for a primary school excursion!

Old Sydney Town was a small open air museum, which was opened in 1975 and sadly closed down in 2003. The park was a living tribute to Australia's colonial past. It was built according to a map of Sydney in 1803 and consisted of over 30 authentically reconstructed buildings. There is a beautiful giant windmill, cottages, wagons and wagon wheels, water wells, a jail, court building, church, mill, a lake with a ship, and so much more!

The park has been closed for over 8 years now, all the buildings still remain as they were, but over time they have weathered greatly and the park has an overgrown and eerie feeling to it. We spent the day exploring the whole park, stopping at each different location to take photos. We decided to style the shoot with the more whimsical & dainty vintage garments, as they really suited the location. It was like taking a step back in time, and we really could not have found a more perfect location for our vintage photoshoot!
